Ceventus is event management software for the businesses that produce events. We own the coordination workflow that runs between hotels, venues, caterers, and planners, so that a booking, its requirements, and every change to it live in one system rather than in scattered messages nobody controls.

The problem in the vertical

The event industry coordinates across parties that do not share a system. A single function passes between a venue, a caterer, a planner, and a client, and the information that binds them together lives in spreadsheets, WhatsApp threads, phone calls, and email. Everyone holds a partial copy of the truth, and no copy is authoritative. The industry runs on this arrangement not because it works but because nothing has replaced it.

The failure modes are structural, not accidental. Double-bookings happen because two people held two versions of the same calendar. Banquet orders drift because a change agreed in a chat never reached the kitchen. Last-minute alterations, which are normal in events rather than exceptional, ripple through a chain of people with no reliable way to confirm the change landed everywhere it needed to. When something goes wrong on the day, the cause is almost always a coordination breakdown that was invisible until it was too late to fix.

What the vertical lacks is a system of record that spans the parties. Generic project tools do not fit because they model tasks inside one organisation, not a booking that moves between several. A venue management system that serves the venue alone has the same limit: the caterer and the planner remain outside it. The work of an event is inter-organisational by nature, and the coordination is the product. A system that owns that coordination, rather than one more tool that each party uses separately, is what the industry has never had.

The system

Ceventus is an operations OS that owns the workflow between the parties who produce an event. It holds the booking, the requirements attached to it, and the changes made to it as a single authoritative record, so that the venue, the caterer, and the planner are working from the same state rather than reconciling separate copies after the fact. The system of record is the point; the coordination becomes something the platform enforces rather than something the parties attempt.

Because the platform owns the venue-to-caterer workflow specifically, a change made in one place propagates to everywhere it matters. When a function is altered, the order the kitchen sees updates with it, and the confirmation that it landed is part of the workflow rather than a hope. The coordination failures that the industry treats as unavoidable become failures the system is built to prevent. Ceventus is in development, Malaysia first, with expansion across South-East Asia planned for 2027.
